Nisha Devi Rodrigo is a world-renowned Eastern Medicine practitioner with 30 years of study in Lineage Medicine™, having trained with esteemed lineage holders including monks at Shaolin Temple, Neigong Nuns on Wu Dan Mountain, Mother Teresa, and Oso Tayari Casel.
Raised in America and Sri Lanka, Nisha blends Eastern and Western medicine through two decades of apprenticeships rooted in ancient medicinal lineages. In 2012, Nisha founded KALA Wellness, integrating ancient wisdom with modern science and promoting sovereignty, mindfulness, and movement.
Recognized for advancing health equity, in 2016 Nisha was inducted into the Asian Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Today, KALA supports UNHCR leadership and frontline workers in Jordan, Egypt, and Hungary.
Currently, Nisha is Director of Wellness for All California and Communities in the Office of the First Partner, leading statewide initiatives on belonging and health, and holds advisory and academic roles, including at Loyola Marymount University.
