Yoga’s ability to uplift individuals and communities is undeniable. But for many, access to yoga remains limited due to financial, geographic, or systemic barriers.
We believe in a better, bolder, more compassionate world grounded in yoga, and we know we’re not alone in this vision. Across the world, passionate individuals and organizations are already doing incredible work to bring yoga into schools, healthcare settings, refugee camps, prisons, and beyond.
Our role is to amplify these efforts—connecting like-minded changemakers, fostering collaboration, and providing support where it’s needed most.
Together, we are expanding yoga’s reach, making its physical, mental, and collective benefits accessible to more people.
Partner Spotlights
Organizations are weaving yoga into essential services, making it a source of healing and strength in diverse settings.
Below are two of our key partners leading groundbreaking work:

Global Refuge
Bringing yoga into immigrant and refugee support services to foster healing and resilience.
Yoga Alliance partnered with Global Refuge to pilot a mental health initiative integrating trauma-informed yoga into refugee resettlement services. Launching at resettlement sites in Michigan and South Carolina, the initiative enhanced holistic support to help immigrants manage stress, rebuild community, and regain stability as they transition into life in the U.S.
YogaX at Stanford Psychiatry
Paving the way for the integration of yoga into healthcare to improve patient care and outcomes.
Yoga Alliance and YogaX are collaborating on research to assess experiences, perspectives, barriers, and facilitators to integrating yoga into healthcare. This initiative seeks to advance yoga as a recognized, valued, and reimbursable therapeutic tool in clinical settings.

Highlighting Organizations
Organizations Expanding Yoga’s Reach
From classrooms to correctional facilities, yoga is being integrated into spaces where it can make a profound difference. These organizations are leading the way:
Prison Yoga Project
Challenge to Change
Awakening Yoga Spaces
Center for Trauma and Embodiment
RefuSHE
Black Yoga Teachers Alliance
These organizations prove that yoga can be a powerful tool for healing, resilience, and community connection, especially when placed in the hands of those working directly with people who need it most.
$3M+
Yoga Alliance has invested over $3 million since 2018 to support programs, partnerships, sponsorships, and grants that help make yoga more widely accessible.
These investments directly support teachers, organizations, and community leaders who are expanding yoga’s presence in schools, healthcare settings, shelters, prisons, and more—ensuring that yoga isn’t just for those who can afford it but for anyone who can benefit from it.
