    A foundational 200-hour teacher training program covering essential techniques, anatomy, philosophy, and professional development.

    An advanced 300-hour training that builds upon foundational teaching knowledge and refines expertise in sequencing, methodology, and specialized instruction.

    A comprehensive 500-hour training that integrates both foundational (200-hour) and advanced (300-hour) training, preparing teachers for deeper knowledge and leadership.

    A specialized credential focused on teaching yoga to children ages 2-15, incorporating child development and age-appropriate methodologies.

    A credential designed for schools that train teachers to support expecting parents through safe, mindful yoga practices for pregnancy and postpartum.

    How to Apply for Your RYS Credential

    Earning a Registered Yoga School (RYS) credential with Yoga Alliance ensures your program meets global standards for training excellence.

    Step 1

    Develop Your Training Program

    • Ensure your curriculum aligns with Yoga Alliance’s Educational Categories, including Techniques & Training, Anatomy, Philosophy, Professional Essentials, and Practicum.
    • Appoint Lead Trainers who meet the required qualifications.

    Step 2

    Submit Your Application

    • Complete the online application, provide details of your school’s training curriculum, faculty, and methodology, and adhere to theYoga Alliance Ethical Commitment.
    • Pay the one-time application fee.

    Review & Approval

    • Yoga Alliance will review your submission, and you may be asked for additional information or revisions to meet credentialing standards.
    • Once approved, you will receive your official RYS credential.
