Joshna was born in Chennai and initiated into her yoga journey by her father Ramakrishnan in the tender age of 12. Committing to practice for five hours a day through her teenage years in Kanchipuram, Tamilnadu led her to master asana practice and win several National and International Asana competitions. Studying her school in the temple city of Kanchipuram changed the urban bred Joshna to dwell deeper into the philosophies of Vedic tradition.
After her high school years she moved to Chennai to graduate as a Computer Engineer. However her pursuit of Yoga and philosophy continued through her studies in different Ashrams around India. She traveled from the Himalayas to Mysore to study under different Gurus – the tradition and philosophy of Yoga. The blessing of all her teachers and the knowledge passed on from them to her is the key to her teaching style! She has a Masters in Psychology as she was keen on the aspects and functioning of the mind.
She has taught several students in India, China and Hong Kong and close to 50 students graduate every year as teachers under her teacher training programs in China.
Is an International Yoga teacher practicing yoga for 15 years, currently teaching Yoga workshops, Teacher training courses in Asia.
Her interests in Science and Spirituality led her to explore consciousness through these two different paths and how and where it converges will be published as a book soon.
