Dorothee is a certified yoga teacher with specializations in senior yoga and business yoga; Ayurvedic health coach and journal therapist. Her aim is to teach the physical aspect of yoga, while providing a holistic experience at the same time. In order to achieve this, she combines her classes with Ayurveda and therapeutic writing and helps yoga teachers to do the same.
She got into yoga when her demanding marketing job in the hotel industry started to become overwhelming. Shortly after, she began her two-year teacher training.
Having been an avid writer her whole life, she dove deeper into the powerful effects of therapeutic writing by enrolling in the course “Journal Therapy”. There she discovered that journaling and yoga actually have a lot in common and can enhance each other’s benefits. This discovery led her to incorporate journaling into her yoga classes.
The next journey she took was training to become an Ayurvedic counselor in a one-year distance training.
Today, she uses the benefits of yoga, Ayurveda and journaling for her classes and workshops, offering her students a profound experience that goes beyond the asanas and helping other yoga teachers to add that extra layer to their classes as well.
