Yoga met Alexandra

Hatha flow / restorative yoga and mindfulness meditation in Brussels - twice weekly classes, in person and on Zoom!

I am RYT200 certified by The Yoga Academy UK, MBI-TAC certified by Brussels Mindfulness. Classes are accessible to all.

What to expect
I started practicing yoga and meditation in 2010 and have been teaching yoga in Brussels since spring 2018, after graduating from Simon Low's 200 hour yin/yang yoga teacher training. Building on this solid foundation, I continue to study towards my 500 hour qualification, and have taken further yoga teacher trainings, workshops and immersions with teachers like Donna Farhi, Susi Hately, Mimi Kuo-Deemer and of course Simon Low.

I offer hatha yoga classes which are a blend of vinyasa yoga, Qi Gong and yoga therapy exercises. I also teach restorative yin yoga. During the COVID pandemic I started teaching primarily on Zoom. I am currently offering in person classes again, with appropriate safety measures in place. I follow the advice and guidance from the Belgian authorities in this regard.

In addition to teaching yoga, I am also an MBI-TAC certified mindfulness teacher, having graduated from a two-year mindfulness teacher training programme (MBSR) with Brussels Mindfulness in 2020. I currently host weekly meditation sessions online. In 2021 I successfully completed a one-year Buddhist studies programme with Ethan Nichtern, and I continue to study with him (meditation, philosophy, ethics etc.).

My yoga and meditation classes are accessible, inclusive, and welcoming. I follow an inquiry-based teaching model, which supports students in the development of their own practice and mindful awareness. I encourage students to develop a sense of respect and care for their bodies as they practice yoga. My students’ autonomy is paramount- together we explore what works, and what doesn’t. Values like honesty, integrity, transparency, accountability, compassion and care shine through in my own practice and my teaching of others.
