After years teaching in the fitness world, I came to yoga in 2018 through loss, through the need to move through grief in a kind way that would feel healing and nourishing. During that journey, I fell in love with the practice and desired to deepen my understanding of and connection to yoga.
In 2020-2021 I received my preliminary and advanced certifications at Cloud 9 Yoga in Kauai and then taught there online during the pandemic - both regular yoga and yoga teacher certification. I currently combine yoga with my Pilates certification and experience, crafting yoga-based reformer classes for students of all ages and levels of experience.
My yoga philosophy is one that is permission-based, meaning that I encourage my students to listen honestly and lovingly to their physical and emotional bodies. I think yoga should be fun and intuitive and honoring of ourselves. I’m not a big fan of regimentation or punishing sequences. I incorporate astrology, tarot and other spiritual modalities into my teaching.
I am available to teach in person and online. I’m based in the Conejo Valley area of Southern California.
