How long will it take?

Online Application
It takes five (5) business days to validate credentials and process payment information of online applications and upgrades. During the processing time, registrants are in a pending status and not listed in Yoga Alliance’s online directory. Once we validate your credentials and process your payment, you will be listed in our online directory immediately! New registrants will receive a registration letter with a Yoga Alliance ID card by mail after validation, which may take several weeks to arrive, depending on the speed of bulk mail delivery via USPS. We appreciate your patience with Yoga Alliance ID cards and encourage you to check your status by searching the online directory if you're curious whether or not your application has been validated. We will contact you if something is missing or requires clarification on your application.

Paper Application
Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®)- a complete application takes approximately six (6) weeks to review and process.
Registered Yoga Schools (RYS®)- a complete application takes approximately 60-90 days to review and process.
